I am so opposed to having my own children -- not that I can get any woman to procreate with me anyway -- that I have decided that I will probably like to stay celibate until I am old enough that menopausal women are attractive to me... Then, no worries about having kids! And no need for a vasectomy! Woooo-hoooo!

You know what is nauseating to me? Food that is not, in my mind, supposed to be sweet, but it has even a little sugar added to it.
For example, why do they add sugar to canned beans (and not just to baked beans), spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, salsa, etc.?

I want to puke!

Ironically, though, if something like peanut butter has a LOT of sugar in it, it is REALLY tasty to me. But if it has just a little sugar, there better be a toilet nearby, because I am going to vomit.

President Obama, as you may know, has given the okay for the US government to try to kill US citizens overseas without trial. Obama actually has always had a "license to kill" when it comes to assassinating -- all without the use of any trials -- so-called "insurgents", "militants", foreign civilians (allegedly by accident, but we know better), and now American citizens. He can carry out these assassinations (murders, really) with the use of the US military, the CIA, and unmanned drones, for example.

Speaking of the US president, Obama's nominee for the Justice Department's Office of Legal Council, Dawn Johnson, has withdrawn her name for consideration. Why has she? Because she was heavily criticized by Republican lawmakers. Why the criticism? Because...

SHE OPPOSED TORTURE!!!!

Yes, she DARED to criticize the Bush administration's use of torture and the attempts at justifying torture by the Bush administration's own Office of Legal Council!
Geesh, I'm surprised her name was ever considered! I THOUGHT I was just joking when I said I must be a FAR FAR LEFT ULTRA-Progressive just because I oppose torturing innocent people to death, but now I see that that was literally the case!

Speaking of the Bush administration and the torturing of innocent people to death:

Now it turns out the President Bush personally knew that the majority of inmates at Guantanamo were COMPLETELY INNOCENT!!!

But you know what, most of these inmates were *still* TORTURED, some TO DEATH!
(And the cover-ups of these deaths continue.)


I have had arguments on-line with rightwingers who say that "terrorists" don't deserve ANY human rights, not even the right not to be tortured to death. And these rightwingers claimed that ALL of the Guantanamo inmates were evil terrorists.

And remember how it was said by Cheney and such that those in Guantanamo were "the worst of the worst"?

Well, now it comes out that Cheney knew too about the vast majority of the inmates being innocent, but he thought that to get just a few terrorists, it was justified to lock up INDEFINITELY and TORTURE hundreds of INNOCENT men (mostly just because of their nationalities and religion)!

WHAT PURE EVIL!!!!!!

Yet Cheney and Bush still walk free, not even being investigated by the Obama administration, let alone prosecuted.
If real terrorists don't deserve any human rights, let alone innocent people accused of terrorism, then these REAL TERRORIST MONSTERS certainly do not deserve ANY human-rights themselves!!!!

I hate to lose readers this early in the post, but I think I should post right after the pictures the poem I wrote today, since the poem complements the picture "Aftermath Of The Eclipse".

Ecliptic

Ecliptic -- eccentric -- the concave sphere is
Obtained in its rest upon such a circle as this,
Upon itself and those visions turned. But yet,
The billowing sun, which it is, it protrudes
From a spike upwardly spinning and from another
Rightward spun. It casts its light towards
Our own diameters, yes. And as a star, it
Is the moon, is the distances within this earth.
Oh, as our sky, it is our ground. It is
Our human artificiality now opaque, now
Counterclockwise. Yes, this is an eclipse of
Paradoxes and paraboloids, of my knotted tableaux,
An eclipse of atrophy made vengeful.
However, we waste among it our purity, true.
But it still screams in its afterglow; it still
Strangely succumbs to our own beauty. It
Still swirls as all reality, as all winding shadows

Okay, so I bought a bottle of shampoo referring to itself on the label as one of the "naturals" line. So, what is in this shampoo? Let's review: Water (so far, so good), Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (a little scary, but I think this is what causes the lather. Maybe.), Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Chloride, Cocamide MEA, (I'm starting to get concerned here), Fragrance (sounds innocent enough, but I once read that manufacturers often put banned substances in fragrances), PEG-5 Cocamide (New and improved over PEG-4!), Hyrdoxypropyl Methylcellulose, Polyquaternium-10 (Isn't that what they found in the super-collider?), Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin (okay...), Citric Acid (Ah, something I recognize!), Tocopheryl Acetate [which I read here is vitamin E acetate], [Okay, this is my favorite:] Methylchloroisothiazolinone [My spell-check certainly doesn't like that one! 27 letters, and a triple-word score. Mucho points.], Methylisothiazonilone [When simple Methylchloroisothiazolinone won't do.], Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract [See, it IS natural after all!], Red 33, and Yellow 5. Yes, I may have mistyped something or forgotten to include something. That is likely. Do any of you know what any of these ingredients actually do? Would you be okay if you swigged a bottle? My cat got some on her fur the other day? Will she be okay? Geesh, who really knows? :)

[Politics, WARNING! Politics, WARNING!]

You all should know what an ass Senator Kyl (R- AZ) is. Get what he just said. Supreme Court Justice Stevens is thinking of retiring soon. Kyl said that if President Obama picks a nominee who has any "preconceived" ideas such as "Helping the little guy", then Kyl will lead a Republican filibuster against the nominee!

That's right. Kyl is OPPOSED to the nominee in any way helping the "little guy"!!!

Kyl also doesn't want any nominee who has any "preconceived" ideas about keeping the chief executive from becoming an absolute dictator.

Kyl says there has been too much helping the little guy lately (Remind Kyl that the Supreme Court just allowed big corporations to give any amount of money they desire to political campaigns!) from the Supreme Court, as well as too much opposing absolute presidential power lately from the Court.

Maybe Kyl, knowing of the corporate campaign-money ruling (Does he watch the news? Or is it too "liberal" for him?), is trying to get in favor with big corporations so that he will easily be reelected by getting the ultra-mega-hyper-bucks.

And maybe Senator Heil-Kyl will only get MORE into favor with the voters in Aryan-zone-a with his anti-little-guy talk. I don't know.

And what gets me is that this is FAR from the most asinine thing Senator Kyl has ever said or done!

In any case, this is my prediction: President Obama picks a nominee who does NOT in any way "support the little guy". Yet, still, the Republicans will filibuster that nominee ANYWAY!

I'll bet on that!

The news media -- whether it be newspapers, CNN, NPR, even the BBC -- is moving further to the right lately so as to seduce those Fox "News" viewers.
The American people too are moving further to the right lately, even to the far-far right.
Violence and revolution are being threatened -- the American people are finally getting off of their asses and rising up -- but only on the right, not on the left.

Americans, both left and right (but mostly on the right, if only because there are more rightwingers than leftwingers in America) are sick of the Democrats, even of the Republicans, but mostly of the Democrats.

My prediction: The Democrats will never again get even 10% of the vote in any election from now on. The party won't perhaps even qualify for Federal Matching Campaign Funds ever again! But the Republicans sure will, definitely.

Fox News proves: If you use covert threats of violence and you lie, you can get ANYTHING you want here in America. Ah, living the American dream, as much as any mega-corporation can (which is MUCH more than you ever could!).

whether in my name or just because you are some crazy loner (nothing against loners, I'm one myself) who kidnaps pretty ladies to torment. (I'm not one of THOSE kind of loners, though.)

As a matter of fact, I am so against torturing innocent people to death, then covering it up, that I am even EVIL. (That is because the accepted morality of these times demands support of torture to be pure of heart.)

Scientists are working on ways -- for the benefit of private corporations, intelligence agencies, and the military -- to manipulate us and control us. (For example, just yesterday there was a story about how a magnetic field applied to the correct part of the brain can supposedly switch off your moral judgement. Now, I don't know why the military would want to apply THAT to the brains of new recruits!...)

Anyway, the breakdown is now like this:

Bottom line, it is all about control. And YOU are at the bottom of this pyramid scheme.

(I am not surprised by this result.)

Update: Regarding my confession over the expired cottage cheese (See my last post).

I went back to the 7-11 two days later, and I did indeed then tell the clerk/manager about the expired cottage cheese.
In the meantime, however, someone had bought one of the expired tubs.

Here is an unoriginal puzzle (stealing mostly from Soduku).
The puzzle itself is easy to solve, but it was enjoyable for me to invent and to prove that there is only one solution.


The 10 variables (m(0),m(1),m(2),...,m(9)) when their values are written out form a permutation of the integers (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
Each individual 1-digit integer equals exactly one m-variable. But which one?

What is the permutation?

As I said, there is only one solution, unless I made an error.


Here are the conditions:

A) m(0) + m(1) + m(9) = a composite.

B) m(6) = a prime.

C) 1 = m(p), for p = some prime.

D) m(2) + m(3) = m(4), and m(2) > m(3).

E) m(m(1)) = 4.

F) m(4) = a square integer.

G) There are exactly two (no more, no fewer) integers n such that m(n) = n.

H) If you take the solution to this puzzle, the values of (m(0)m(1)m(2)...m(9)), and write the values out from left to right, concatenating the digits to form one huge number (all in base-10, of course), then m(8) = the second smallest prime that divides this large number.

For you at home who don't know what a composite or a prime are, all you have to know for this puzzle is that the sequence of primes begins: 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,...
And the sequence of composites begins: 4,6,8,9,10,12,14,15,16,18,...

I am ashamed of myself.

I must make a confession.
The other day I went to 7-11 to buy some food. One of the things I was to pick up was cottage cheese. Well, when I took the cottage cheese tub out of the cooler, I noticed that it had expired *9* DAYS BEFORE! (The cottage cheese at this 7-11 usually has another month or so before it expires, at the time I buy it.) Then I noticed that the other 2 tubs of cottage cheese in the cooler also expired on the same day. So, what did I do about this? Well, first I put the tubs back in the cooler. Well, I WAS going to tell the clerk, whom I suspect was the manager, that the cottage cheese was expired. But there were a couple people behind me, and I didn't want to embarrass the manager -- and more importantly, I didn't want to embarrass ME. So I kept silent. Someone could have bought that cheese, ate it, and DIED, perhaps! And it is all my fault. Oh, why was I afraid to rock the boat? Would I have been one of those people turning up the juice in the Milgram experiments? Would I have turned in my Jewish friends if I lived in Germany during the Holocaust? I like to think that I am not that way at all. But we all like to think we are not that way. And, the truth is, the vast majority of people ARE willing to shock someone to death or turn in their Jewish friends if the authorities simply say to do so. Studies have proved this.

Shame!!!!!!!

[Politics Alert! Politics Alert!]

I am SO upset at the Democrats (whom I like to call the "Demon Rats") over lots of issues, but generally because they, as the Republicans too, have moved FAR to the right compared to where they used to be politically.

And, as I have said before, I am voting 3rd party for president in 2012. I am doing this even if the Republican nominee is really really bad -- even if he (or she, winky winky) promises to throw all men named Leroy in Gitmo to be tortured.*
No matter what, I'm voting 3rd party, or not voting at all. It's done.

*[This is no dumber than the suggested treatment, proposed by some potential Republican candidates and Fox commentators, of men named Mohammed.]

Okay.

So, the US House has just passed health care legislation.

The good news and the bad news:

The good news: All of the Republicans strongly opposed this health care legislation. (So, it MUST be a good thing, right?)

The bad news: Almost every American strongly opposed this legislation too.

As many Americans, I have mixed feelings about the legislation, most of it negative.

A plus: Insurance companies won't be able to drop people because of pre-existing conditions. (I think this provision has 6 months until taking effect, though.)

A minus, a big minus: The working poor, even if they can't afford it, will now be required to buy PRIVATE health insurance. (NO PUBLIC-OPTION FOR YOU!) If you don't buy it, you will face large fines. If you can't pay the fines, you will go to jail.

Many have predicted that insurance prices will only SKYROCKET UPWARDS even more as a result of this legislation.

Another BIG minus: This is the literal end of the Democratic party. Now the Republicans will be the ONLY viable party. They will win EVERY election in 2010 and beyond, for virtually forever.

That is a pretty big minus. (Remember, they LITERALLY want to throw all American dissidents in Guantanamo to be tortured! -- see last post.)

I view the inevitable mass-election of far-right wacko Republicans as pay-back against America for this country's infinite sins throughout US history.

Yes. Burn, America, burn.

I was just thinking... Two centuries ago, say, not as many people got Alzheimer's because people didn't live long enough to get it, most of the time. The rates of cancer were probably lower too for the same reason. So, here's a 'fun' exercise: Try to imagine some of the diseases human beings will get in the far future that we don't get now, at least not commonly. What kind of diseases will people get when the average life-expectancy is, say, 150 years? My best guess, for example, is that really older people will often be running out of space in their brains for all their memories -- if Alzheimer's isn't that condition already. Interaction with extraterrestrials will expose humanity to lots of diseases too, I bet (as depicted on some episodes of Star Trek). Thoughts?

Senators Lieberman and McCain (they're "centrists", you know) have introduced in the Senate bill S.3081, the so-called "Enemy Belligerent Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010". It already has a hand-full of co-sponsors so far.

You think that they only lock away FOREIGNERS indefinitely without trial, incommunicado, and then torture them, all on the president's say-so alone?

S.3081 would allow the president to lock up, without trial or charge, even NON-VIOLENT AMERICANS -- such as anti-war protesters on the left, or, on the right, Tea Party activists-- based solely on the president's whim.

You may like Obama (I don't. He's almost as bad as -- if not just as bad as, if not worse than -- Bush), but in the (near?) future, I predict someone even worse than Dick Cheney will be our president! Do you want this person to have this kind of power!?

The word "fascist" is over-used. But this is LITERALLY fascist. How is it not? This is authoritarianism run-amok. This is literally evil. This bill has been called the ABSOLUTE WORST threat to American democracy *EVER* so far!!! (And that is saying a lot, given the last decade in America.)

Yes, the government already has done this, lock up Americans without charge or trial then torture them. (Jose Padilla) But this bill would make it all okay in the legal sense, and would mean that even non-violent "unAmerican" American citizens could be locked up and treated like those in Gitmo have been.
This would institutionalize and fast-track the unconstitutional mass-imprisonment and mistreatment of Americans whose only crime is disagreeing with the government!

This bill is getting very little press, even in the liberal media, let alone in the mainstream media.

America is NOT free!!!!!

So Confused

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock,
tick-tocked off!

This is the first post I have made since Daylight-Savings Time began, I think.

isn't it also earlier than it really is???...

So, I have decided to try to keep living by Standard Time, at least for a week, maybe longer. Why? Because, first, "stress is bad for you", as they always say. Second, and more importantly, Daylight Savings is an arbitrary and artificial construct -- an artifice -- a construct just a couple of years ago lengthened (starting earlier, ending later) by a REPUBLICAN-LED CONGRESS.

I'll be damned before I let a Republican-led Congress dictate major aspects of MY life!...

So, I do what we should all have done instead of setting our clocks ahead.
I keep my clock at the same time, and go to all my meetings an hour earlier.
Therefore, if something really doesn't depend on when I am there, I get there at the same time according to the rotation of the Earth. Only my time-dependent meetings are an hour earlier.

I'm a morning person, anyway. And before Daylight Savings (which, by the way, does NOT save any daylight, since we get an hour less in the morning), I was getting up too early and going to bed too early. No more.

And, by the way, what is this crap with starting Daylight Savings in the Winter? We have to now say "WINTER forward", instead of "Spring forward". And "Winter forward" makes no sense....

... Makes no sense, like Daylight Savings Time!

A Lateral Bead, A Fictitious Wire

A lateral bead, it is propped against its
Longitudinal transcendences. And in its tapered hole,
A fictitious wire passes thoroughly; this line too
Becomes a loop, becomes a metaphorical gap
Through which the bead's one horn itself
Traverses. Yes, the wire also pinches into a
Thorn's spike, into a jut upon one very corner
Of reality. Again, however, in that bead, there is
A cutting hole; for, this hole eclipses the

[Politics alert! Politics Alert!]

Did you all hear about the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (I think, I am unsure on what # the appeals court was) voting to leave "One nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God we trust" on our money? What gets me is that the Court actually said that these phrases were NOT religious.
What!?

I would say that IF God exists, then God probably thinks that the Pledge and the money motto are indeed violations of Church and State separation, which is obvious to me at least, if not to the brain-dead appeals court.

Didn't God create -- again, if God exists mostly as He/She/It is often imagined -- the rule of logic that states that, if something completely and totally has property x, then that something has property x?
After all, the money motto ("In GOD We Trust") and the line from the Pledge ("One nation under GOD") are indeed promotions of religion. Why? Because they are promotions of religion. QED.

I have put together a partial list of things that America REALLY trusts in. Maybe we can change the money motto to "In ____ we trust." For instance: War, Money, Sex, Corporations, Idiocy, Reality TV. I bet you people can come up with other replacements for the word "God".

I said to myself that as soon as I write a poem that is at all different from what I usually write, I will post it here.

Notice how every other line is parenthetical.
(The parenthetical phrases as suppose to be at the end of each line. But since the margins in Blogger are so narrow, I have put some carriage-returns in, and made those phrases the even-numbered lines.)

And in addition to stealing from someone else's intellectual property, the picture (at least the yellow part) sort of unintentionally came out looking like the tubing in some kind of brass instrument. Sorry about that.

Okay, here is a shitty poem I wrote today. (I know it is shitty, even though I don't remember how it goes. ALL my poetry is shitty.) It kind of goes with today's picture.

Interlaced

Interlaced between their braiding, these tangled tangents
Are but transcendental loops, somehow. They are but equal
To the emptiness that ceases within them. And they each
Encircle their knotted hideousness. They each enclose
Their folded fraying upon a weird arc thus punctured
By its selfishness. These molecules outstretched and
Careless, they are those curves made from twine.
They are as thread made from rope, are as wire made
From adverbs, are as idiocy made from my contemplation.

I usually don't put plusses between the numbers in my number poems, but I felt like doing so in this poem and in the number poem in my last blog post. The numbers don't follow any mathematical formula that I am aware of (but they DO follow some formula that I am unaware of, since all number sequences do).
These poems aren't about math, however, at least not in the strictest sense.
They are instead like the musical notes in a song or in a riff.
There are patterns, but they are more emotional than intellectual, although that can be said about a lot of mathematics too.

Given the shitty economy, many people are staying near home instead of traveling far away, taking so-called "stay-cations", as you may have heard.

Well, maybe this idea should be expanded to animated movie-making too, so as to save money.

Maybe there should be a clay-mation movie with one still shot, and that is all.

The clay characters would be seen just sitting around, nothing happening. Then, in the final second of the short movie, one of the character's arms falls off, as if by accident.

Well, well, well. You know what the WORST thing to be is, in the opinion of the masses? A murderer? A torturer?
Nope, not even close.

The WORST thing to be in our society is FAT.

I got weighed the other day, after a month and a half of not knowing what I weighed.
In that month and a half, I gained THREE whole pounds!

You know what that means, kiddies?

That means I have joined the ranks of the failed. I am a loser, a food addict, a threat to the environment; I am responsible for the high costs of medical care in this country; I am ugly; I am a sinner; I am EVIL.

It is not like the overweight have enough problems in this world, but they have to be the victims of bigotry too.
Even doctors, who should know better, often treat their fat patients in ways that sometimes borders on malpractice, given that the doctors sometimes don't give the overweight the same quality of care they give their thinner patients. (After all, fat people's lives are less worthy of being saved, right?)

And on top of that, diets almost always backfire, and the dieter eventually gains MORE weight than they lost.
(This is the main reason why my relatively minor weight gain worries me. My weight could be on the rebound, after a modest loss of weight, and my weight might be about to skyrocket upwards.)

Maybe, just maybe, the reason that fat people are more likely to get illnesses has more to do with the STRESS of being fat (dealing with the bigotry and the constant obsessions with weight and weight-loss) than with being fat in and of itself.

NO, not all fat people are stupid. (Nor are all thinner people.)
NO, not all fat people got the way they are because of lack of will power.

I know for a fact that some people have a MUCH easier time of staying thin than other people do. It is genetics, for the most part, not some kind of immorality that is at the heart of all fat people.


I had anorexia once. I was afraid to eat -- and came very close to dying as a result -- because I thought that eating was EVIL.
Well, damn me to Hell, then. I'm eating again!

This will surprise you all, probably not.

Well, a couple days ago the US House was getting ready to vote on the 2010 Intelligence Authorization Act, when someone noticed that an amendment had been added that would have outlawed the most extreme kinds of torture during "war on terror" interrogations.
The amendment would have, in addition to outlawing extreme forms of torture, made TORTURE THAT LEADS TO DEATH punishable by 15 years in prison, maybe even life in prison for the most serious cases.
(Life in prison seems very fair to me -- and 15 years is obscenely light a punishment -- considering that we regular folk non-government employees could get the DEATH PENALTY in many states if WE tortured someone to death.)

But what happened when the amendment was discovered by House members?
First, the Republicans, and some Democrats, grew very very angry that someone would DARE punish people who torture detainees to death.
House Minority Leader John Boehner said that the amendment was "unconscionable".

Yes, people. PREVENTING TORTURE is UNCONSCIONABLE!
How DARE anyone do that!

Then the Democrats all tried to distance themselves from the amendment.
And finally, of course, the Dems completely caved to Republican desires, OBVIOUSLY!

This whole drama shows how literally evil our congresspeople are. Damn them ALL, even Rep Kucinich, since his soul is tainted beyond salvation by his association with these thugs and monsters.

We Americans are all damned too, most likely. After all, we collectively voted for these assholes.

You know -- speaking of being unoriginal -- I often times post jokes here that, even though I came up with the joke independently, the same joke has already occurred to at least hundreds or thousands of people before me.
(Although I suspect I DID hear the "life is" comment -- not really a joke -- before, and I plagiarized it.)

Take any key phrase or word from one of my jokes, and Google it. Presto, many many hits.

For example: Googling "cancervative" (from a couple days ago) gets almost 4000 hits.
Yes, some of that is just people unintentionally misspelling any pun-ish word. But the vast majority of those hits were put there but other people coming up with the same joke as me.

I know that any joke I think of is unoriginal. So, I definitely do NOT Google any joke's key pun or phrase before I post it here. For, if I were to see how many people have also thought of the same joke, I would not want to post it. But sometimes I do Google the joke after I have already posted it, when it is too late to keep from posting. It is interesting to see what a conformist I really am.

3rd Drive, 4th Drive, sounds like gears or something. Living on 4th Drive is better than living on 4th Place, though. (That isn't even a bronze medal.) I suppose that people would like to live on 1st Place, however.

But because men must ask women, we get this strange situation sometimes where intentions and emotions are vague. This often leads to broken hearts, and sometimes even to rape.

I myself refuse to ask women out. But if a woman asks a man out in our society, she is considered often times to be a "slut".

How wrong is that?

It SHOULD have been completely natural for even nice girls to ask the man out, instead of the f-ed up way things are now.

I don't know about you, but I find EVERY president who has ever ruled over the US of A to be evil in at least some ways.
George Washington, for instance, owned slaves. Abe Lincoln tried to lift habeas corpus. Pretty serious evil, I'd say.
And those are the two president we most idolize. (Except for Ron Reagan, of course. He's our GOD!...)

But Americans, no matter what, only vote for what they perceive to be the "lesser evil" at election time. (And sometime they vote for the greatest evil!) Americans are like some abused women. We move from one abuser to another -- from one abusive president to another. We refuse to break free of the cycle. I guess this is what we should expect, since the kind of person who runs for president is by their very nature an evil tyrant.

And then came Obama...
I really WISH Obama had lived up to the hope-hype. I really really do.
But the Military Industrial Complex (TM) has got us all fooled. There isn't anymore even an organized and viable anti-war opposition to Obama's war policies, for instance, even as civilians continue to be killed at a horrendous rate in Afghanistan and elsewhere. You see, President Obama is a MASS-MURDERER, maybe even more so than George W Bush, at least in some ways. But where are the anti-war protests!?
The only viable and organized opposition to President Obama is from those gun-loving psychotics on the RIGHT in the Tea Party and in the Republican Party.
Yeah, at least THEY are protesting the president's policies (with guns in tow). Great.

This picture looks sort of like a sliced peach to me. I almost didn't make this image. Yesterday I came to the conclusion that I probably shouldn't make any more computer art. Why not? Because all of my art inevitably takes on the characteristics of any art made by anybody via Photoshop. Photoshop has more to do with how my art looks than I do. So, my art is not original. It is not of my own mind as much as I would like it to be.

And besides, my computer art -- though less so than all art I have made in any other medium -- totally sucks. I know this. You all know this.

Speaking of art:
You know how I know that I had nothing to do with the making of this universe? (Besides the fact that everything completely sucks in the news, that is.)
Because I hate the colors brown and green, shades of which make up most of the natural world.
(Except for the light blue of the sky, of course. But I hate light blue too.)

Hey, I like purple and fuchsia. Those are the colors I like. But if plants were all fuchsia instead of green, then I guess I would dislike fuchsia instead, just because it was everywhere. Maybe then, in that case, I would have liked green.

As things are now, you see purple and fuchsia in the natural world only really among certain flowers. Maybe that rarity is what makes those colors so enjoyable to me. Maybe.

Or maybe the universe is just UGLY!
Maybe.

You know what is frustrating?
Years ago, right after I moved out of my parents' house, I looked far and wide for antibacterial dish-soap, because I was so afraid of germs. But nobody made that kind then.
Then, in more recent times, I read everywhere how germs have gotten resistant because of antibacterial soaps. These soaps also harm the environment, I hear.
So, now days, I want to use dish-soap that is NOT antibacterial. But almost all brands of dish-soap ARE antibacterial now days! I have a very hard time finding a brand that is not. (And this is starting to be the case with hand-soaps too.)

Okay, here is the poem I wrote today. Enjoy (or not, more likely...).

The Thread, The Rope, And The Wire
-----------------------------------

This one sharp thread, it ceases in its perpendicularity
With the rope beneath it; it ceases exactly as a
Cusp upon the very edge of bundled filaments and
Contemplation. And before its terminus, it loops
In a billowing arc; then it becomes that
Same rope that cursed it. And in its
Widening, its dual also loops and ceases
Upon the cusp of rope-versus-thread. But
The counterpart continues in its extension
Downwardly, and it becomes a wire. And
That wire contains a current of such magnetism,
Of such refracted dreams recreated. Yet, none
Of these strands are braided in their variations.
None of these cusps and loops merge unto the
Fading integers inscribed. Oh, the thread, the
Rope, and the wire are abruptly without
Purpose. But they serve my poetry, surely. They
Therefore are despised in their fraying, in
Their words we drink strangely then soothe
In these focused lines of elongation, of transversals.
